This morning I published a blog with thoughts about Independence Day – this year.
Most of you do not see my “work” blogs and thought leadership articles. You might find this blog post helpful in light of the difficult time we are in.
We may have an informal 1st race – sort of a race – on Sunday. The Eastern YC had hoped to run their annual July 4th regatta, but the club could not get a nod of approval from whoever the powers that be are. They are afraid to do a race that could be interpreted as in violation of some regulation. We are allowed to be on the boats. The boats are not allowed to “race” each other. Your tax dollars at work.
An informal sailors initiated race around just outside Marblehead Harbor will probably happen on Sunday. If we can muster a team to race CHARIAD, we will be there.
I hope you enjoy this July 4th holiday and find innovative ways to celebrate our independence and have quality time with your family and friends.
