Dear Friend of CHARIAD:

Our 2019 sailing season started on Cradleskid Lane in Marblehead. The hardy CHARIAD crew walked down Cradleskid Ln into the boat yard in Marblehead.

We woke the lady from her winter sleep. Freshened her up. And she splashed into the water for a new summer of sailing – and lots of laughs.

We won some races.

We did some silly things like dropping the Patton Bowl Mrs. Patton had just handed us into Manchester Harbor.

And we had laughs as a great team.

The cycle of life has come to fall again. CHARIAD is safe on the hard in Beverly.

Those of you not in the Boston area probably do not know the series of northeast storms we have over the last three weeks. The launches in Marblehead are closed as I am writing this note. Lots of boat damage –  sad to see. On the beach in Salem.

As part of my transition to the end of sailing season, I hiked through Great Meadows in Concord, MA, Sat. afternoon. We are in high foliage color here. I captured images that you may see later. Here is the fall view of the pond.

I hope you are enjoying the season transition. And I hope we will be together soon.
