Dear Friend of CHARIAD:

We have several wins already – a tribute to a terrific crew including a couple of new team members.

I though you might enjoy a video from the start of the Hospice Regatta hosted by the Eastern Yacht Club this past Sunday. No collisions this time but you will see that we had an exciting start.

Sunday was a truly beautiful sailing day. Bright sunny day with moderate winds. After the race, we sailed through Marblehead Harbor with the spinnaker.

Above is a photo of the boat as we are sailing past the Eastern YC in the Harbor.

Here is an image from the boat just after the race.

Now that our sailing season is underway, I have to share this sign from the Sail Loft on Atlantic Ave in Boston.

I may have to post something similar on CHARIAD.

Friends of CHARIAD Party

Stay tuned for an invitation to a Friends of CHARIAD party. Richard Sides has generously offered to host a party at his home in Marblehead. We will work out a date that works for him and get back to you. Always a lot of fun.

Frank Gehry – Sailor

Frank Gehry is a unique and celebrated architect based in Los Angeles. Boat US had an article about a sailboat he designed and built and the connection between some of his signature designs and sailing. See attached. Gehry designed the Stada Center at MIT. I have visited a number of his buildings including the Disney Concert Hall in LA and the museum in Bilbao, Spain. Quite amazing to experience. Drive by the Stada Center when you are in Cambridge.

Stay well.
